A typical problem with low-floor buses is the PVC floor covering developing cracks, through which water and mud get to damage the floor's plywood and metal constructions. Ordinary plywood is often used in bus floors and upon contact with water it spoils fast. Because the floor is an important part of load-bearing construction in low-floor buses, its damage makes the bus unsafe for traffic.
Busland has already done floor repairs of this kind to almost a hundred buses. During the repair, plywood is replaced in the whole range of the bus (we use only waterproof plywood) and a new PVC floor covering is installed (we use only material certified to be used in buses). We also replace parts of metal floor construction that have been damaged by corrosion. During the whole process, a lot of attention is paid to corrosion inhibition and waterproofness of floor covering.
